Everyday Life, Project 365 / Conroe Tx Photographer

I'm a hustling, bustling mom like every other mom.  I have 2 crazy kiddos, a full time photography business, I homeschool and I try to keep up with the domestic duties of my "I stay at home" mom title.  If I'm not teaching my kids, I'm planning and prepping for their lesson plans.  If I'm not doing that, I'm running them around to their activities.  If I'm not doing that, I'm running around grocery shopping and such.  If I'm not doing that, I'm cooking, editing, cleaning, doing laundry and oh yes I like to slip a glass of wine in their every now and then!

I've heard of Project 365 but honestly the thought of it made me quiver.  Yes I would love to capture my kids, well let me rephrase that.  Yes I'd like to have photographs taken of my kids but we all know just how hard it is to actually photograph our OWN kids. lol  I have all the patient in the world to photograph other kids but there is something extra stressful about snapping away with your own little ones.  So the first of the year was fast approaching and I started to realize just how many pictures I DON'T have of my children.  I'm not talking the occasional "stylized" session where I use my own children as models.  I'm talking about the everyday, lazy, sweet moments of my chaotic life.  I want those moments forever.  The messy hair, the fruit juice stained teeth, the ever so fashion style my kids like to throw together and think they look good! (they really do look stylish!) I want all those moments photographed so I can remember when they walk out that door to go to college.

So on Jan 1, I finally took the plunge to start Project 365 and I can honestly say I've enjoyed every minute of it so far.  The photo taking is nice and relaxed which surprised me.  I love capturing the everyday and it doesn't take long either.  I encourage all parents to give it a try.  I know I will appreciate these images when I'm done at the end the year.  And there is something special about capturing every day of their life in 2014!

So here's a few images from my Project 365 and I ADORE them!
